The Telltale Signs:

1. Visible Discoloration – With over 100,000 species of mold, the color can widely vary. Commonly you can find molds with darker colors such as black, green, blue, or gray. Some appear fuzzy, and others are slimy, and can be smudged to when touched.
2. Smell – While older homes may have a slight damp smell, a strong odor of mold is often much more apparent.
3. Peeling Paint or Wallpaper – Due to mold growing from Water Damage, signs that the damage is in the walls by clearly visible peeling, flaking, or bubbling paint or wallpaper!
