Mold Remediation for a Tarpon Springs Condo

The winter residents were away from their condo for several months and failed to control the interior temperature and humidity adequately. SERVPRO of Tarpon suggests maintaining a relative humidity (RH) of below 45% to deter the growth of mold and mildew. The mold patch, luckily for the owners, was not deeply embedded in the drywall material. We successfully removed it thanks to the efforts of our Applied Microbial Remediation Technician, thereby negating the need for costly demolition and rebuild. We sanitized the treated walls, inspected the HVAC system (scrubbed and sanitized the ducts) and painted the walls with a special primer. We changed out the filters for several days and set up an air scrubber to capture most of the mold spores within the environment. No moisture nor fungal activity was found upon a final inspection.
