Storm Damage – Tarpon Springs Home
Storm damage struck this Tarpon Springs home when windows in the master bedroom and adjoining bathroom were broken out during a torrential storm. The homeowners were away on an extended weekend, so lots of water was allowed to enter the interior of the home and set there for some time. The walls and carpeting were soaked. We used advanced technology moisture detection meters to determine that the subflooring had also been saturated. This would require that we remove the carpeting and padding to properly dry the subfloor. Once our initial assessment was completed, we boarded up the broken windows and arranged for their repair. The walls in the bathroom were the most severely damaged, and we needed to tear out the drywall and dry and treat the affected area. The after photo shows the affected area ready for rebuilding.
